Maternity photos are usually takes between 28-38 weeks of pregnancy. It depends on the mom, if this is her first pregnancy, if she is showing quickly or rather not, and when she is most comfortable. Some moms prefer to do it earlier at about 30 weeks of pregnancy, but I had photographed mom at 40 weeks pregnant. Wether you just found out that you are pregnant, or are very far along, don't hesitate to schedule the maternity session now because I usually book moths in advance however I might be able to squeeze you in last minute.
